Wed May 30th

What's up what's up?

The movie challenge is just toasty, you can catch up with that blog on that blog

I've been talking about my knee and all that over on my year long project. But in case you missed it, or don't follow that blog,  I'm doing better.  Able to bend it now to a 90degree point. That is a safe zone according to my therapist.  Means that I should have full I range of motion at some point.  Anything less and it would have been considered stuck in a straight position.

I go back in tomorrow to the doctor's for x-rays and an update.  No idea right now when they will be doing my second surgery to remove the wires.  The topic has been brought up a few times but the x-rays show it's just not time yet.

Okay, now my TNA Spudguns; you've noticed that in the last month I've gone back to doing wrestling reviews.
As of last night, I'm not sure I want to continue.
My whole internet persona when it comes to wrestling, has been based on a few things, and one of those has been who I like in the industry. With certain people having moved on from TNA, I'm not sure my attention is needed there anymore.

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for the week of May 25 2012

I used screen capture for this post

Yes, I know I said before the weekend that I would have this up on the weekend.  Well, I didn't and I'm not getting into why just... hey it's late okay deal.

We open with what seems to be a production meeting of sorts... this is the second month of the Open Fight Nights... with A.J. Styles, Bully Ray, Hardy, and Kurt Angle.
Bully Ray was taken out of the top four contenders spot for Roode's title.

Cut To- the Open Fight Night opening credits.  Now, is it just me, or is it really necessary to have different opening credits for the weekly show of Impact?

Cut to- KnockOuts champ Gail Kim came to the ring.  She then called out ODB and EY.  So this became Kim/Rayne vs EY/ODB... I have to say, this has gone far enough.  Let Eric Young go back to X-Division or heavy weight singles matches please. Gail Kim got the win with a cheat.

Cut to- Robert Roode arriving at the building, then a quick cut to Hogan on the phone.

Cut to- RVD came to the ring and called out Gunner.  Raise your hands if you agree with me and that RVD needs to just go away and not come back. RVD won... damn it janet!

Cut to- Devon coming to the ring for his weekly TV Title match. He called out Garett.  Half way through the match, the Robbies came to the ring and caused the match to be thrown out.

Cut to- Hogan's office again and another cut to the top four contenders. Hardy was cut... thank god.

Cut to- a promo for Abyss, in black and white... sweet. Then Bully Ray came out to the ring and called out Abyss ... er right Abyss's brother.  You know wardrobe hid the tattoos with long sleeves, but make-up forgot to cover the scars on his forehead...

Cut to- Gut Check promo... Joey Ryan... okay, um can we say 1970's porn star wannabe?
He went up against Austin Aries... dude, how does that feel?   Aries won, as if there was any doubt.  To be honest, I personally thought that had this Joey Ryan guy gone up against someone a bit less then Aries, he might have looked impressive, but he got planted perfectly by Mr. Aries and rightly so.  Aries has single handedly kept the X-Division eventful in the last few months.  And yes I know, normally I use a sepia coloured for my screen captures but this new PC doesn't have that feature so b/w it is for now.

Cut to- Robert Roode came to the ring first for his match, then out came A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle.  Hogan still had to announce who would be fighting Roode in this main event.  I really wanted it to be Styles... and it was.  YES! finally Hogan did something right.  A.J. Styles went up against Robert Roode for the title.  If Roode wins, he not only keeps the title but will be officially the longest to hold this title in TNA. Styles previously held the title of holding the title the longest... follow... Roode did get the win and kept his title, as well as becoming the longest title holder to hold the TNA title.

And the match of the night... once again, there wasn't really one match that I think should be in that category. But, once again, the Austin Aries match came close. BUT so did the Roode vs Styles match. So, this time, there is no match of the night because there were two really fabulous matches.

If you're like me, then you started watching TNA for a reason, and for most of us that reason was because there were new and different guys in the ring. You loved the fact the X-Division and the tag team division were strong.  And if you're like me you're sitting here now going, when did it become like everything else we've seen?
Now, if you've been following my blogs at all in the last 7 years, you know I'm the type of girl who has something to say on everything, good, bad or otherwise.
Hence why I blog and part of why I started blogging about TNA to begin with.

So it seems that the show will be shifting time slots from 9pm to 8pm on Thursdays starting this week. And going live.
How do I think that will affect Impact?  It can't be good.  Everyone who watches much tv knows that when you start shuffling around a show it's near death and it's a desperation move to keep it alive.
This is one time I hope to be proved wrong, but I think it's a bad idea.

Brewster!

A) Remember me bitching about the fact that I could not find one of my favourite shirts... I've talked about it a few times over the last two years.  I had a limited edition tee from Fright Rags for the movie Fright Night  back in 2007.  Never did find it.

BUT... they recently re-issued the tee again as a limited tee. So I got a second copy so to speak.  It came today, yay!

B) I really do not like PCs.  It took me nearly twenty minutes to figure out how to take a photo on this machine and it still sort of looks like crap. The second I have enough cash, I'm getting a new MAC.

In case you haven't been paying attention, I'm sort of addicted to Fright Rags.  I think I have close to 8 of their designs now.

That's the view from my sofa tonight.

May 23

I'm not dead yet! So hold your crickets.

I know I never go this long without blogging on this here bloggy-blog, but to be honest, I haven't had anything to talk about.
Nor have I been feeling like doing anything other then sleeping the past week.   I did mention on a short post elsewhere on the internet few days ago, that my physio therapy has been upped and so have my pain pills.  And they tend to make me  very sleepy- as in knock me out for half a day.

I have my next doctor's appointment next week so will find out more about my knee then.

And for those looking for the wrestling reviews, I just didn't have it in me this week to even watch.  I'll be back this weekend, after tomorrow's episode of TNA.

May 13th afternoon

TNA Spudguns, it's the day of a pay per view.

I hope that Austin Aries and Robert Roode hang on to their titles.

Just want to say to the wrestlers taking part in their matches tonight, stay safe.

My Thoughts on TNA Impact for the week of May 10th 2012

I used screen capture for this post

We opened with Robert Roode coming to the ring. He talked about being the longest champion in the company with the title belt.   Nice!  Let's hope he actually makes it to that anniversary.
Then RVD and Anderson and Hardy came out to slug and plug on him.  Then Hogan came out and said that now we would have a four way match for the main event.

Cut to-  Bully Ray backstage talking about Austin Aries.

Cut to- KnockOut match.  Velvet Sky vs Miss Tessmocker.   Tessmocker won then Gail Kim came out and slammed her.

Cut to- a promo by James Storm talking about his loss last month at the ppv

Cut to- A.J. Styles being asked about the big secret.  He said nothing.  Then to Hardy backstage talking about how he's going to end the run of Roode.

Cut to- Crimson vs Matt Morgan.  But Bully Ray came out and threw a chain at Morgan before he could get into the ring. Then Crimson took the mic and talked about how Morgan has not beat him in a match before and demanded the ref give a ten count on Morgan.

Cut to- RVD doing a promo about how reckless he was growing up.

Cut to- X Division title match.  Austin Aries vs Zema Ion.  Aries won with his trademark brainbuster keeping his title.

Cut to- Kaz and Daniels backstage talking about the secret they have over Styles

Cut to- RVD... again

Cut to- the ring where Daniels and Kaz are standing with the "secret".  Styles then came out to challenge them about it.  Seems, he's having an affair...

Cut to- Television title match.  Robbie E vs Devon. Devon won keeping the title.

Cut to- a flashback from last month when James Storm talked after his loss at the ppv. Then to a video package about how he's not sure he's ready to come back yet.

Cut to- "Abyss's brother"  going to the ring... then to Devon challenging both Robbie E and Robbie T... in the ring with Abyss's brother and he said he's going to be at the ppv Sunday night.  Then Bully Ray came out and threatened him.  Typical.

Cut to- Anderson in the back talking about his 4 way match next. And then a backstage chat with Kurt Angle about the ppv...

Cut to- the main event. RVD vs Hardy vs Roode vs Anderson.  RVD got the win and gets to choose the stipulation at the ppv, which will be a ladder match.  And then Abyss returned for a second right after the match ended... huh...

And the match of the night... I really didn't feel there was one.  The X-Division match was spiffy, but it just didn't grab me like it normally does... I think it was the Zema Ion factor...

my thoughts on TNA Impact for the week of May 3rd 2012

I used screen capture for this post

Highlights-   Yes, highlights and not a full on review because 1) the Spike site was so late in the week posting it, and 2) my computer died. I'm still getting used to the new laptop which is a PC and not a Mac... bear with me.

We opened with Ric Flair in the ring talking about Hogan.  snore.
Hogan came out to reply.

cut to- KnockOuts match... tag match Gail Kim/Madison Rayne vs Tessmocker/Velvet Sky.  Tessmocker got the win.

cut to- RVD was in the ring talking about himself.  snore double snore.  Thank god Robert Roode came out to reply.

cut to- Television Title... Devon vs Robbie T.... well, it was thrown out when Robbie E got in and hit Devon with the clipboard... Devon won by DQ and kept the title.

cut to-  the three judges for Gut Check, as they looked at the tape from the week before and discuss the rookie.

cut to- backstage with Mr. Anderson and Hogan

cut to- Hardy vs RVD.  RVD got the win

cut to-  backstage, Bully Ray and Abyss's brother... dude can we say split personality?

cut to- JB talking backstage about his feelings on the whole Eric Bishoff issue, then Bully Ray came up to him to make comments. Bully Ray then pushed JB to the ring. And Austin Aries came out to face him.

cut to- the locker room, with Kaz, Daniels and Angle talking about having to take their opportunities. Then Robert Roode made his comments about how he feels about everything right now.

cut to- tag match,  Kaz/Daniels/Angle  vs  Samoa Joe/Magnus/A.J. Styles.   Styles got his trademark StylesClash on Kaz for the win.

cut to-the results of the first Gut Check from last week... Alex Silva will be the newest TNA talent.

cut to- main event... Roode vs Anderson.  Hardy came to the ring and interrupted the match but it was a no DQ.   Roode ended up getting the pin for the win.

dead for 3 days

One of the neighbour's dog in the building has been barking for like days. Just for no reason so we all thought.
When mom saw a Crime Scene truck outside the front of the building, she went to see what was going on.

One of the neighbours has been dead for three days.  And the dog that was barking was the one in the unit next to the dead guy's.
I can only guess that the dog smelled it or something.

This is what scares me about living alone.   You could be dead for days before anyone bothers to check in on you.
It's sad and scary.
