That's funny

You know your life is messed up when you can't find something you know you had yesterday.
I was looking for a recipe, knew it was in a particular cookbook, but could I find what I did with the book? No of course not. Spent half the morning going in circles on the book shelves looking and finally, found the damned thing under a pile of dvds. I know right.
Then, found the recipe and no use anyways, because I don't have half the ingredients in the kitchen and by that time I was not in the mood to track myself out to the store. So...pizza for supper tonight.

And then, I was thinking about this one vampire movie that I haven't seen in years, but know I have somewhere in my collection on vhs. Was thinking I should see about if it's available on dvd or something. Could not for the life of me remember the name of the movie. Knew it was still in a box somewhere packed. Spent a half hour hunting through three boxes of old vhs tapes, did not find it, took one look at the other twenty boxes it could be in and just gave up. Not in the mood to be going through old dusty things for a vhs tape that may or may not work in my ancient vhs player.
I remembered then, that I had done a list few years ago on an old website of all the vampire movies I had seen to that point. Pretty damn sad, I had to go to my own site that I haven't updated in about four years and hunt through an old list. Found the name of the movie finally!

Reign of Darkness from 2002.

Then I was thinking, damn, last movie on this list I did was Twilight. That was like what, five six years ago...something like that.

What a way to waste a day eh? At lest the ppv is in a few hours.

October 2014

Okay, first off, those who sometimes follow my twitter...sorry for the mess. It looks like I was hacked which makes sense why I was suddenly last month getting weird messages from there.

What have I been up to?  Not much. Moved over the summer, slowly trying to read the Night Watch series of books, still mid-way through the first...there are five.  Been writing about werewolves, and trying to learn how to make quiche vegan...failing at that I must say.

Hallowe'en, just down the corner. But before that...next week's ppv Hell in the Cell...I'm still undecided on if I'm going to get it.

Seen the new Dracula movie, Dracula Untold.  I went from hating it to loving it in about two hours, after I left the cinema. Don't ask, can't explain.

The biggest news of course, if you're a vampire fan like I am, is that Anne Rice has a new vampire book coming out this month.  Prince Lestat.   Now that's something to talk about.

Yes, yes...not really

The news Canadian wrestling fans have been waiting for...if you live outside of the Province of Ontario, is that you can have access to the WWE Network.

That frealing sucks if you live in Northwestern Ontario, like I do and Rogers TV is not offered here.

We got frealed man. And it would seem, NXT, which aired for the last few years on Shaw, has been taken from us to be replaced by Main Event.  Double frealed.

Main Event? Seriously? That's so not a fair trade.  Yeah I'm bitter. Bitter as a lemon-drop dipped in lime juice.

As time goes on, I'll get into more on the topic on my wrestling blog, but for now...dude, I'm just pissed off and feeling unloved.

July 22nd 2014

So, it would seem, blogger is having issues today.  Don't know if it's a system crash, or a maintenance thing or what?
Most of my bloggy blogs are down, other people's are too.

With that said...hello my Spudguns! It's been a long while since I returned to blog on this blog, but my attentions have been elsewhere.

And...I'm moving! Apartments, that is.  By the end of the month, I'll be out of the evil hovel and into something a bit more user friendly.  If I don't kill myself from all the heavy lifting first.

Okay, just a note to A) see if the blogs are doing what they are suppose to and B) because I haven't blogged on here in a few months.

Spudguns!

Have you ever sat there wondering what changes in your life need to be made?  I've been having times like that lately.

Okay, so I've been spending most of my blogging time on my movie blog, mostly writing my internet soap opera/serial "The Nosferatu Adventures" (TNA...did not do that on purpose but isn't that a cool coincidence)

Speaking of TNA...wrestling that is...FINALLY ERIC YOUNG is champ!  I've said in the past I didn't understand why he was never a contender, bout time he got there eh?  And you know what that means, another Canadian in the top spot in TNA. Robert Roode and now Eric Young.

Okay, I'm babbling, just wanted to post something.

Canadian Government, lost their minds.

It's been rumoured for months that Canada Post was going to stop doing door to door mail. Looks like they are going to try to go ahead with this over the next few years. Even though millions of us have stood up for the continuation of door to door deliveries.

Those of you who have been reading me for any length of time anywhere online, know that I've got a physical disability that at times,  makes just getting outside in the winter hell, never mind the idea that I'd have to grab a bus in -45C to hobble my cripple self down to a post office half way across town three or five times a week just to check the mail.

I'm not alone in this either.

I personally have signed a petition few weeks back that my local NDP (John Rafferty) had sent out notices about, telling the Canadian Government, that we don't want this massive change.
From what I understand, it's not just the NDP that is trying to keep the postal services in place. Petitions are everywhere.

March 31st

Having one of those mornings where everything is breaking down at the same time.

Time to give up on a few mundane things, and re-think what is really important.

I did a small rant the other week on the wrestling blog about how disappointed I am with the at that point listing for wrestlmaina 30...I haven't really sorted out my thoughts on it since. I know, that those of you who read me on a regular basis will be checking this week for my usual pre-ppv thoughts. Bare with me, my mind is everywhere but there.

Spring is here. Just not in the city where I live. Still have snow up to my ankles. About to have the second cup of coffee for the day, and trying to make sense of some strange events that sprung out of nowhere this morning.

Feb 6th 2014

I've had a few people comment to me about the fact, I haven't written anything about the big WWE Network news...

Here's my reason, and I'm posting it here for now, (I will talk about it at some point in the future on my wrestling blog)  I'm Canadian.   From everything that I've been reading about the big launch of the network, it's only being launched in the United States of America right now.  The rest of the world, Canada included, have to wait months, maybe even a year or more before we will have it available to us.

Sucks don't it.

Two things.  One- there is the question of why didn't the WWE just wait till they could launch it worldwide at the same time?  and Two- I understand wanting to launch some version of it as quickly as possible.  So fans like me, who live outside of the U.S.A., have no reason to get excited right now. And given the fact that once it's launched, everything will be available it seems on the digital network, that we won't miss anything. As in, it will be on demand.

On Demand.  Two words that has changed the way people think just in the last couple of years.

Will I be signing up for the WWE Network?  As soon as it's available in Canada, which I've been told will be October 2014 or later.
Hell, we've all waited this long for a wrestling network, whats a few more months?

The next question it brings up is, how far behind that,  before other wrestling companies or sports companies in general, begin to jump onto this type of bandwagon? Would a general all wrestling channel be a good thing?  I'm sure it's become a topic of conversation everywhere and I would have to say, that yes I think it would.

Jan 31st 2014

You ever have one of those really weird nights?
Okay, I got an email from youtube for an old account that was never connected to youtube. Then when I went into my youtube, I found one of my cooking videos has a notice on it saying it's banned in certain countries because of a sound effect, and there is a link to buy the music on itunes, only it's a sound effect. It's not music. So I have no idea what is going on. If I still had the video footage, it was on the old computer that died few years ago, if I still had it, I would just remake the sound for it.
Yeah, crazy right?

I am made of you

Did everyone catch last night's ppv?  Groovy, I did a really quick run down...and when I say really quick, I mean just the points, on my wrestling blog....

What else have I to say for myself....um...er...dude...I don't know. This Friday is the Chinese New Year, and it will be year of the Horse.  Don't have a lot of details on what it all means, just that I'm looking forward to it.

For any of my Spudguns! who's been with me for the last few years, you might have noticed that I go in strange directions when it comes to stuff I talk about. The big ones being vampires, wrestling and movies. And that's just a note for anyone stumbling across me for the first time. Vampires, Wrestling, Movies.  Sometimes it's vampire movies, or wrestling vampires, and there was at lest once where it was a movie about vampires who wrestle.

Today's title comes to you as a quote from an Alice Cooper song.

Yes, I'm rambling. For those who have been following my One Movie a Day blog...today's post is up. Year 3 Day 48. And if you're following that then you have the link...and if you are stumbling on me for the first time...link

Um....did I like last night's WWE ppv?  Yes, on the majority I did. I actually thought it was one of the better ones I've seen in ...years.  Little pissed off about my Rumble pick not making the final cut, but it would seem no one wanted to make me happy this ppv.

My pick was Seth Rollins.

and now...time for coffee.

Okay, now I'm pissed.

Everyone knows that I've been a major fan of TNA wrestling for years. I've never missed an episode, even if it meant seeing it a week or two late on the Spike website. For a bunch of reasons, over the years I've had to go from watching on old fashioned tv screens to watching online. iTunes Canada carried it for years then stopped about two years ago, and I've been catching it on the official Spike site ever since.

Till this morning.

I went to watch last week's episode, and got the message "We're sorry this video is not available in your location."   Okay, I'm thinking it's just being added to the playlist, and waited a bit. Tried again, got the same thing, then tried another older episode, and got the same message.

So TNA Impact is no longer being offered in Canada online it would seem.  And as far as I can tell, their official youtube only does bits and pieces.  To say this sucks is a major understatement, as TNA Impact has been a staple in my life since 2005.

I really don't understand why suddenly after all these years, that would happen?   It sucks, I'm pissed off, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels slapped in the face just because I am outside of the U.S.A.

When did it become 2014?

New year already. Where did the time go?
I went in to blog on my movie blog, and had frealing issues.  Went to do something on my wrestling blog, had frealing issues. Came in here, and frealing issues.  Need to rant now.

For those of you who follow my movie blog, it's on again man!  For those of you who have no idea what the hell I'm going on about... in 2011/2012 I decided to do a One movie a Day challenge.  The rules were simple, I had to watch one different movie a day for the year and blog about it.  It was mildly successful.  I tried doing a second year last year; themed of course. All vampires, but sadly, it kicked my ass.  So, on the anniversary of the blog, last month, I started a third year of the One movie a Day challenge.  Today makes Day 31.

Who did not see the split of Cowboy James Storm and Gunner?  I think we all saw that without glasses few months ago. I'm only a week behind on episodes of TNA Impact. And only because the Spike site hasn't put up last week's episode yet.

So it's 2014...wow, I feel so old.

That's about all for right now...we've had -30degree C with -44degree C windchill.  Too cold for living.
