Right knee exit stage

No I did not abandon you all.
Friday the 24th started out as a good day, had gotten up, gone to the mall, then to the cinema.  Saw the movie the Goon,  which I still have to write up.  So why have I gone almost a full week without blogging anywhere about anything.

I didn't want to let wrestler Chris Sabin have all the rocking tortuous fun that knee surgery brings.   I should not be joking because it's really really not funny at all.
I was coming home from the cinema Friday night, and the second I put my foot down in the parking lot, I slipped and went down hard on my right knee with this crunching echo.
My entire right kneecap was shattered into a billion pieces.  Half it went upward into my thigh, the other half went downward into my calf.  I no longer have a knee cap.  I have mush.

I can not begin to describe the hell of pain I have been in for the last 6 days.  They did the surgery right away on Saturday, and I've been in hospital since.
Will now be planted on mother's sofa yet again for another 6 weeks unable to bend the leg and unable to put any weight on it.

My life blows right now.

So, for those of you my lovely Spudguns that have been wondering if I was dead the last few days,  no but close enough.
And yes this does put me a full week behind on the movie a day challenge but I will get it back on track. This also cancels book club for the next three months which also blows dog backwards.

Here is a very off kilter webcamed photo of my knee in the large brace.  I am embracing my whole Frankenstein thing cause wait till you see the scars.  I literally have one now that runs from the middle of my thigh to the middle of my calf.  And it looks like an easter egg all multi-coloured with the stitches and bruising.

Okay my Spudguns, I'll be getting back to a routine for the blogs again now over the next day or so.  In between the crying and the pain meds.

Oh Thursday

At the moment, you could say the main blog is the movie challenge blog
What's that old catchphrase from that old Ramones video... if your not in it your out of it...
so you know, if you're not reading my daily hijinixs  hijinks on that blog then you my Spudguns are missing out on my blogging in general.

Weather here was not too bad, think the weather channel said we hit -4c today.

I said elsewhere on the internet that I did manage to catch this week's WWE Raw and that I hope Wade Barrett's injury heals quickly.  He's one of the most talented guys in that company right now.

And that would be the view from my sofa right now.

Monday Feb 20th

And it's Day 80 over on my movie challenge blog, as well as I've brought up the topic of soundtracks.

I see the photo issue seems to be fixed.  I was in a total mess the other night when that all happened.  Total mess.

Have I mentioned that I'm really not that good when something chaotic happens?  I fall to pieces, but it is a thing I am working on.  Learning Patience.

Which could be why the Temperance card keeps popping up the last two days in my readings.  It's telling me I need to take a deep breath and find my balance again.

Missing photos

I have no idea what is going on, but half the photos on Blogger are missing... again!
This is not a happy blogging week I'll tell you that.

Let me know if you see a photo here  please

Wed is for divination

I've been up for almost 30 hours.  This is gone far beyond a simple case of insomnia.  To say I'm feeling out of sorts is an understatement.
I've been feeding all my energy into the tarot cards since I can't sleep.  I'm waiting for that crash I know it's coming.

But anyways,  Wednesdays are typically the best time to use any form of divination as it's connected to Mercury. Which is the planet of communication, travel and electronics.
And the planet is busy today bumping into half the other planets.  Mercury and Uranus, then Mercury and Jupiter, then Mercury and Neptune, then Mercury and Juno.
Mercury you slut.

As I mentioned few hours ago on one of my other blogs, the Three of Swords was popping up yesterday like a weed.  That is a card that is not my friend. It's a card about endings. Mostly relationships, sometimes it means the end of bad cycles.
Personally, since I have no relationship to speak of at the moment, I'm hoping it's the end of a bad cycle. Ironically, not only did it pop up in my own readings all yesterday, it was also the card de jour on a bunch of astrology sites too.

That's the view this morning from my sofa.

Monday Feb 13th

What do you mean, Alex Shelley lost?

Lest Robert Roode kept his belt.  Isn't he like the only Canadian to hold that title?

And now, I must harass Canada post because there are some major issues with the mail and our building. To the bat-phone where I will sit on hold for the next hour which will eat up my phone minutes.

Post 949 Sat Feb 11th

Day before a ppv.
I'll be getting this ppv.  I don't normally have the chance to order them.

The X-Division match between Austin Aries and Alex Shelley... enough said.

Why am I mentioning it now and not tomorrow?  Well Spudguns, I'm off to mother's and hate fighting her for her computer.
So, I am right this moment saying to all that is going to be part of the TNA ppv tomorrow night,  stay safe.

Friday morning Feb 10th

It's today's offering in my movie challenge.  Day 70.
I have not been able to shut up about it.  The theory is one that has been brought up more then once in my social circle back in the day when we were still in high school and college. Something that has drifted in and out of my own brain over the years.

The box from hell

I need to draw a puzzle box.  From Hellraiser.  Okay, need is a bit much it's not life or death or anything.

Yes Spudguns, it's another tidbit for the movie challenge.  Who would have thought that the casseroles I did because of the Elvira movie would be my most popular post over there on the movie challenge blog?
I would have thought the Coming-Attractions, or the posts about the movies that are playing right now in the cinema would be the most popular, but no.  Seems at the moment, I am wrong.
But you know what this does mean Eh?   That food is what 75% of the blogging world want to read about.

Have a bit of an idea I wanted to do to work in the Addams Family, but not sure I'm going to be able to pull it off.

Um that's not..

Computer issues

I suppose it's time for a new thing-a-ma-gigger for the wireless.  It keeps crapping out and kicking me off my own network and onto the neighbour's.  The dude at Tbaytel who is suppose to be all keeper of the support help knowledge, told me on their end everything was listed as fine. And that it must be the transmitter
Um, hello, you did not take my name or account number how on earth can you know if it's all fine???

I just think he didn't want to have to deal with any real time consuming issue... but okay things got unplugged and replugged and seems to be okay now.   And yes, this happened just a few weeks ago too. Right after the new neighbours moved in and installed their internet.  Christ man, everytime someone installs their cable or phone or internet it seems to knock mine to the mat.

And the real kicker is, when you call about internet issues, the voice recording tells you to go to the Tbaytel website for information about any construction or service disruptions in your area.

More winter Early spring

Seems the groundhogs yesterday were all a mixed bag.  Some of the fuzzy beasts saw their shadow some did not.  Well, what the hell do you expect, given they were all over the planet.  Different places at different times will have shadows and other will not.
I ask why do we gauge the seasons by a rodent?

Anyways, yesterday was Imbolic.  A real holiday.

The movie challenge is taking up more time then I was thinking it would. Am 9 weeks into the challenge and finally finding my footing with it.
Now if I could only find my footing with my feet.  This past year has been one leg/foot injury after another for me.  I somehow managed to get a few strained muscles in my right ankle.  So you know, winter couldn't end soon enough for me.

I stopped off at the record store yesterday... we've already covered why I still call it a record store... to find out about the DVD release for The Rum Diary, and the one guy when he spotted me hobbling towards the desk just pointed to the poster for Twilight 4 then poof he was off to the back room before I got half my sentence out.
My fault I suppose, I asked "When is the release for..."
But I left, came back a few minutes later when someone else was working and actually got my answer.  See smart right? Right.

So Twilight is getting that much traffic the employees at HMV don't even want to deal with people.  This is the part where I make a quizzical face and nod.

TB rant

I have no idea who the hell is running this city, but why the freal are you doing the dren you are?

For years whomever it is who flicks the switch when it comes to where Thunder Bay gets the American stations, they seem to think it's a game of musical chairs or something.
We've had the American channels over the years off and on from Detroit.  Then we had them from Minneapolis.  Then we had them from Detroit, then Minneapolis etc etc.
Few months ago, you gave us the Detroit stations, saying it had to do with cost and the whole quality of reception.  Alright it we got used to it.  I secretly loved it, but then again I'm Team Detroit.
Now, you decide that's not good enough and decide to out of the blue go back to having the tv stations from somewhere else.
Would whoever it is running the city of Thunder Bay pick a plan and stick with it!  Cause right now all you're doing is sticking your finger up your arse.
